India’s Top Tech Minds Unite at ‘International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’

Join India’s top tech innovators, researchers, and AI leaders at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Explore cutting-edge trends, breakthrough innovations, and real-world applications in AI & ML.

Chennai hosted a three-day summit focused on building scalable, future-ready AI systems. Over 500 leading technology professionals, including AI researchers, software engineers, product leaders, and system architects, convened in Chennai for the prestigious International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning 2022. The three-day summit brought together innovators from across fintech, e-commerce, and cloud native sectors to explore the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and its application at scale.

Organised by a network of tech founders and senior engineering leaders, the event aimed to create an industry-led platform for deep technical dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration. With the central theme of “Building AI Systems for the Future”, the conference focused on real-world engineering challenges and breakthrough strategies in developing scalable, resilient, and high-performance AI products.

Participants engaged in a wide range of sessions covering AI-powered personalisation, distributed data infrastructure, cloud-native architecture for machine learning workloads. A defining feature of the conference was its practical orientation, emphasising hands-on experiences and behind-the-scenes stories from teams managing some of India’s most widely used digital platforms.

A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Vishal Gupta, a seasonal engineering leader, who spoke on “Building the Engines of Intelligence”. His session focussed on core foundations including infrastructure and automation. Attendees praised the keynote for its clear insights into system reliability and scalability.

Panel discussions featured prominent voices from India’s top tech firms, cloud providers, and early-stage AI startups. Conversations centred around deployment pipelines, observability, ethics in AI, and the growing demand for AI governance frameworks in enterprise environments. Meanwhile, a concurrent product showcase highlighted innovations in developer tooling, data platforms, and infrastructure automation.

According to organisers, the goal was to facilitate candid, practitioner-led conversations around building technology that goes beyond prototypes. “There are many conferences about AI theory, but few where engineers talk openly about what actually works in production,” said one of the lead conveners. “We wanted to create a space where builders could exchange real lessons from the field.”

The event closed with a leadership roundtable focused on India’s long-term digital infrastructure goals, tackling how the ecosystem can remain agile while supporting inclusive and sustainable growth in the AI era.

As India continues to strengthen its position in the global AI ecosystem, events like this are shaping the critical engineering conversations that will define the country’s digital future, not just in terms of speed and scale, but also in accountability, resilience, and impact.
